Hotel Marbella

Wild waves, unswimmable but come for the raw power. Our room had a balcony, 2 beds, sitting area, kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, dishes, cups, glasses, utensils, bathroom has hot water and the TV worked. Wifi in the room was non existent except on the balcony. It was good in the other areas of the property. The hotel is dated but well managed. The floor plan works well. You could live a simple life with it. The entire community closes down by 6. You can get basic supplies down the road, a 5 minute walk. If you are looking for the best walkable beach, low-key quiet vacay, this is your place. Staff are friendly, some English, great food (red snapper was excellent, garlic shrimp was very good) room was clean. There is a pool, beach bar/restaurant, lounge chairs, hammocks. Everything you need.

This hotel is off the beaten path. Not too many tourists. Very family friendly. Bar in hotel closes extremely early. No night life outside of hotel. Can bring in own alcohol and relax in the beach area..

We have been here for 8 days and have had the best time ever. Hotel Marbella managers and staff have been amazing. The food and the rooms are great. Try the stuffed fish with shrimp or the Camarones Marbella yum yum! Already thinking of our next stay at this great hotel.

We decided for our last night in Zihuatanejo to pick this hotel closer to the airport. Hotel Marbella is definitely off the beaten path and in a very quiet strip with other hotels around and other restaurants to choose from. We checked out from our previous hotel at 1 and came straight here where Adela was able to check us in early which was very nice. We were happy to wait until 3 but she made it happen. The room is cozy, 2 beds a fridge and a microwave. Spacious bathroom and a working air conditioner too. We got settled in and decided to check out the pool/restaurant area and then walked to thr beach which was right out the back. The waves here are quite more aggressive so we only got in to wet our legs. I don't recommend trying to swim the ocean here. They have lounge chairs under some palm trees to relax and have food and drink from their restaurant. We only ordered a beer and a piña colada but so far this is a great quiet little spot off the tourist path.

This is my first time here and I love it. Hotel Marbella has the best food and the staff and managers are very nice and helpful. I read some bad reviews here and it does not seam right. The Hotel has free WIFI as well as hot water. The pool is a good size and approximately 4.5 feet deep, therefore safe yet deep enough to swim and enjoy. I recommend trying their Camarones Marbella and their stuffed fish.

One of the best hotel/restaurant I've gone. The pool is cool, the service good, but the best is their food, they are the gods in "Playa larga".

It's hard to complain about this place given the fact that it is pretty dang affordable and right on the beach. The service is good and the food isn't bad. The rooms seemed pretty clean. Note that while the front desk accepts credit card payments for the stay, their restaurant only accepts cash. And there is no atm anywhere nearby. Also, the restaurant closes at 7 pm. The beach is not at all crowded but not ideal for swimming. There is pretty big shorebreak, so unless you're comfortable with surf, I wouldn't suggest swimming.
